God's Expectations And Warnings For Our Youth

God wants the young people is to honor and obey their parents. This teaches us to honor and obey God, by recognizing that there will always be an authority in our lives.


"Children, do what your parents tell you. This is only right. ‘Honor your father and mother’ is the first commandment that has a promise attached to it, namely, ‘so you will live well and have a long life’" (Ephesians 6:1-3 NIV).

"Regard (treat with honor, due obedience, and courtesy) your father and mother, that your days may be long in the land the Lord your God gives you" ( Exodus 20:12 Amplified).

"Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, before the difficult days come, And the years draw near when you say, "I have no pleasure in them" (Ecclesiastes 12:1 NKJV).

“Hear, my son, your father's instruction, and do not forsake your mother's teaching; indeed, they are a graceful wreath to your head and ornaments about your neck” (Proverbs 1:8-9 NASB).

“Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord” (Colossians 3:20 KJV).

"Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD" (Psalm 34:11 NKJV) .

“Pay attention to your father, and don't neglect your mother when she grows old” (Proverbs 23:22 CEV).

“Now therefore, listen to me, my children, for blessed are those who keep my ways. Hear instruction and be wise, and do not disdain it” (Proverbs 8:32-33 NKJV).

"Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right." (Proverbs 20:11 KJV).

“My children, have nothing to do with false gods or idols" (1 John 5:21 WE)
